“Brothers Arrested for Murder of Cal City Resident ”

Police detectives arrested two brothers from California City Monday afternoon, for the murder of Stephon Ramsey (23 years). Ramsey was shot multiple times late Saturday night, in the 9700 block of North Loop Blvd. He was later removed from life support and pronounced dead at Antelope Valley Hospital. Prior to his death, Ramsey resided in California City. A second subject was struck by gunfire, and was later treated at AVHMC and was released. His identity is being withheld pending completion of the investigation, as well as other details relevant to the case.
Arrested were Raul Moringlane (34 years) and Kenneth Moringlane (31 years), both long time residents of California City. A third suspect, Charles Hobbs (20 years) also of California City, is being sought by Detectives for the murder. Hobbs is a parolee and is considered armed and dangerous. His whereabouts is unknown.
Several members of the community assisted the detectives in the investigation, and their involvement as citizens should be credited by all residents of our City. The Moringlane brothers were booked into County Jail, where their arraignment is pending in Bakersfield Superior Court.
